Poll Recap: Are You Selling Your Home?

Poll Recap: Are You Selling Your Home?

Last week’s Axiom poll about buying and selling homes attracted one of our most demographically diverse audiences, with a good range of entrants from all age groups.

Regardless of age, our readers tend to be a bit more savvy than the national averages, and this poll was no different. 2/3 of Axiom polltakers indicated they were financially ready and prepared to buy a new home.

Nationally, nearly 2/3 of first-time buyers indicate they want to pay off debts and bill while preparing to buy a new home. Almost half said they want to improve their credit score[1].

When it comes to downsizing, our Axiom polltakers were all about it – nearly 60 percent of polltakers indicated they were looking at downgrading. Nationally, a little more than half of sellers are looking to purchase a larger new home, while a slight majority of sellers are looking to downsize.
