2020 brought changes to retirement plans and challenges to retirees and people looking forward to retiring. The CARES Act, the SECURE act, a global pandemic, election uncertainty, and civil unrest introduced new laws and procedures that directly affected retirement plans and encouraged some people to retire early.
There was an overwhelming majority of respondents that said they were on track with their retirement plans, despite the events of last year. Our LinkedIn poll also had a large group of respondents say that they were on track with their retirement plans, with a few people responding that they were stepping up their retirement plans due to changes within the last year.
