POLL RECAP:
A recent poll asked 2,000 Americans what freedoms they’d give up to be debt-free. Last week, we asked Axiom readers to guess how Americans responded in that poll.
Our readers didn’t guess that the majority of Americans would rather read fake news than give up any of the other freedoms in the poll. Of the choices in the poll, Americans chose reading only read fake about twenty five percent of the time.
Our readers figured switching political parties or forgoing the right to privacy would be Americans’ most popular choice.
What would Axiom readers give up to be debt-free? The vast majority said they’d give up nothing, but the second-highest choice was the same option Americans chose – reading fake news. A very close second was offering to switch political parties.
Most interesting – of the small percentage of Axiom readers who offered to go to jail to get out of debt, none were male.
