But when he’s not at work, Tom taps into his experience and helps high school students learn financial skills. Working with Make A Difference – Wisconsin, Tom visits various classrooms across Milwaukee Public Schools and works to bring understanding to students who may be considered challenging or at-risk.
Make A Difference – Wisconsin works to teach financial skills to high school students through a classroom program called Money Sense and a one-on-one mentoring program called Money Coach. The organization has partnered with 85 high schools and hundreds of volunteers from the local business and professional community to reach more than 47,000 students over the past nine years.
